Modern Description: Silver coinage of the Damastinoi, assigned to the 4th century BCE, is found in concentrations in southern Kosovo. D. Ujes Morgan suggests the mining site of Novo Brdo, where Greek artefacts have been located, as a likely location for the site, otherwise attested in Strabo. A Greek settlement so far inland in highly unusual, and implies some political arrangement with the local tribes.
