Modern Description: A Roman road station Gallicum is shown on the Tabula Peutingeriana 16 Roman miles N of Thessaloniki. One possible site for it is on the Gallikos river at the town of Kolchida (Kilkis), where a substantial EC basilica and other buildings have been excavated.
