Modern Description: On the low eminence of Trypimeni Petra, between the foothills of Mount Kerdyllion and the coast at Vrasna, a well-preserved fortress consisting of a pentagonal enceinte with two-storey towers (4th-1st century BC), that controlled the gulf of Strymon and the pass towards Thrace, has been excavated.
