Modern Description: Serra La Nervera is a site located on one of the highest points (over 1200 metres) at the end of large heavily wooded mountain chain south of Serra di Vaglio some 7 kilometres in from the Basento Valley. Some the blocks used in the construction of the circuit wall are said to have maker’s marks similar to those of Serra di Vaglio and Pietragalla. Identification of the exact location of the circuit walls are difficult. Some blocks seemed to have slipped down the Northern side, but none seem to be in situ and a single observer point was used at the highest point of the site. Serra La Nevera intervisible with a number of other sites but has little visual control over surrounding access points and is not part of any control network.
