Modern Description: During construction work on the modern Egnatia Odos at Polymylos in Kozani between 1998 and 2006, substantial remains of a Hellenistic city were excavated, including an interesting kiln complex. An inscription found in Verria naming the city's western gate as the Euiastiki, has allowed a general geographic placement of ancient Euia in this region. The site has been back-filled, but one kiln is on display at the Aiani museum.
