Modern Description: Haisa was a city in Chalkidiki. During the 5th century it was a member of the Athenia League. Excavations at Nea Kallikrateia uncovered the remains of a settlement inhabited from the early Iron Age until the Roman period. The buildings and tombs excavated can be dated to the 5th century BCE. The site cannote yet be identified with certainty with Haisa.
