Modern Description: This fortified three-aisled basilica church and bishop's palace, dated by coin finds to AD 479, was discovered during construction of the new railroad tracks between Korinos and Aliki in the modern Kitros municipality. It seems to have been built on the site of a Roman road station, possibly Anamo on the Peutinger table; the remains include a tax collection station, with 2-3rd c. mosaics and Classical tombs with significant finds.
