Modern Description: Stephanos Byzantios mentions Parthenopolis as a city in Mygdonia but there are no other references about it. The site was excavated in the late 1990s by Ioulia Vokotopoulou. Near modern Parthenonas was excavated a temple measuring 8x4 meters, probably dedicated to Zeus Koryphaios.
