Modern Description: Hammond's Artsista site (Aristi) is now called the Kastritsa or Kastraki of Agios Minas south of Konitsa. The heavily overgrown fortified hilltop settlement N of the village of Agios Minas is reachable by a dirt road signposted to the Evangelistria monastery church. Just before the small parking area at road's end, an unsignposted but reasonably clear footpath leads uphill in ca. 7 minutes past tumbled ruins of a medieval village to the Evangelistria church, which may sit on the SW corner of the ancient fortification (some massive cut blocks still in place). A second path, to the castle proper, allegedly diverges right near the beginning of this main path. The site is described at kastra.eu as a medieval village, Revnikion, and castle on Hellenistic foundations.
