Modern Description: On the northern outskirts of the beautiful Zagoria village of Vitsa was discovered during civic works in 1966 a Molossian settlement and cemetery with imported pottery from Corinth and Athens dating to the 9th through 5th centuries BC. The site has remained under excavation by the Greek Archaeological Service intermittently since then.
