Modern Description: Scalea is a site set on the Tyrrhenian coastline 4 kilometres north of the Laos rive. There is little information given on the location of this site and a single observer point was placed at the highest section of the area. Scalea is only intervisible with one other sit, Laos. The low intervisibility with other contemporary sites is typical for fortified settlements in this area.
