Modern Description: "This site named by Herodotus is associated by modern scholars with a series of sea caves on the rugged coast of Pelion. This location is reachable from the remote village of Veneto (1 hour drive from Volos or Stefanovikeio) , and then, following a 5 km off-road trail, the Koulouri locality at the seaside, from which, if you have a boat, you can go to Ipnoi, known to the locals as ""spilies"" (the caves).
