Modern Description: Palioskala: a late Neolithic-Early Bronze Age settlement mound (magoula) on the east shore of ancient lake Boibis (modern Karla) excavated 2001-2 by the Greek archaeological service, 5 km south of Kalamaki, Larisa, Thessaly. A visitor center and walkway were created. Some early Christian ruins are on the hill above.
