Modern Description: Just SE of Proastio at Chandaki, a stretch of Roman earthwork fortification thought to date to ca 80 BCE was declared an archaeological site in 1992. The preserved wall length is 590 m, with a height of 4-5 m and width of 6-7 m. "The Roman camp presents especial interest from an archaeological viewpoint, because along with the other two corresponding monuments (at Mataranga and Fyllo) it constitutes an important example of distinctive fortification methods."
