Modern Description: "PECS locates Limnaion here and leaves Phakion unlocated, but other scholars place Limnaion at Vlokhos 4 km further E. These identifications are dubious. Phakion issued bronze coins. The Kourtiki mentioned below is now Metamorfosi, Karditsa.
""A rocky hill called Petromagoulo rising 250 m above the marshy plain, 2 km NW of Kortiki and on the opposite side of the Karditsis river. Double walls of rough polygonal masonry filled with rubble surround the acropolis at the highest point. There was a tower on the N side and a lower wall of ashlar work. (M. H. MC ALLISTER)
