Modern Description: On a summit commanding a wide view, 4 courses of one wall of a small Classical/Hellenistic watchtower stand at Monolithos, 1 km NNW (as the crow flies) from Ellinopyrgos village, Karditsa. Some scholars suggested this as a site for ancient Ithome, now placed at Kastro 1 km SE of modern Pyrgos Ithomis.
