Modern Description: Thetonion is attested only in an inscribed bronze plaque of the 5th c BCE found near Gefiria (old name Koprenzi). Exploration of a cluster of mounds at "Magoules" NW of Gefyria revealed settlement traces and cemeteries from the 7th - 5th c. BCE (http://atlasthessalias.culture.gr/---------9.html)
