Modern Description: City in Lydia that later passed into the territory of Mysia. Founded by Cilicians during the 5th century BC, it received many Chian colonists. It is identified with the ruins at the site of Kaleh Agili, near the village of Dikeli Köy and Mount Kara Dağ (ancient Cana). Probably deserted completely in the 1st century AD because of an epidemic.
