Modern Description: By a small beach, excellent for swimming, at a hamlet called Fanos NE of Glyfa (no amenities), a sign heralds the archaeological site of Antron or Antrones on the hill overlooking the sea. Dense sherd scatter and a few random blocks are all that is visible. Just offshore are submerged remains of a long breakwater just off the coast. Note a fenced Middle Helladic grave circle excavated 350 m W.
