Modern Description: The Stadium is located north-east of the Gymnasium and south-west of the Theatre. The north side of the stadium was built on the side of the hill. It was constructed during the reign of Augustus, with two later phases of construction. A sarcophagus (second half of the second century AD) depicting the labours of Herakles was found between the stadium and the theatre.
