Modern Description: The remains of an Early Bronze Age tumulus and a Mycenaean tholos (vaulted) tomb have been excavated at Moschovi, Loutraki. The settlement associated with the burial monuments has probably been destroyed. The tholos had been built in the center of an older tumulus, was full of deposits and had been plundered. Several clay vases have been restored, while other artefacts comprise flint tools, sea shells and animal bones, an indication that the tholos had been used as a bothros after its collapse.
