Modern Description: The village of Palaiokhori has been identified as the ancient Dorian city of Kytinion only since 1989, with the publication of three public inscriptions of the Kytinians found in a church. A narrow road W from the village leads to a circuit wall and and large fortified building on Proph. Ilias hill NW of the village. There are also traces of a sanctuary with marble blocks at the Ag. Georgios chapel/cemetery SW of Paliokhori
