Modern Description: Unsignposted but easily visible acropolis on the left side of the road (Odos Yitou) running N out of Pavlos village, 3.3 km by road. The chapel of Ag. Nikolaos R of the road has an inscription commemorating a gift to the holy senate of Savior Asklepios (IGVII 2808). At the dirt road left, turn left again (W) to pass in front of the farmhouse. Caves with stalactites, an impressive bastion of polygonal masonry with an archive of inscriptions naming military recruits, and on the summit a post-Byzantine church of Ag. Anastasios with ancient columns.
