Modern Description: ArchDeltion 1981 B, 239 (Bommelje et al) "The greater part of the circuit-wall of this fortress, about 2 km. south-west of the Kastro of Strouza, is rather poorly preserved, rising just above the surface. The site occupies the high top of Mount Bouchouri, on which one finds a small church of Agioi Pantes. The wall is built of mostly small but fairly neatly hewn blocks of grey and grey-brown hard limestone. The fortress has a number of towers facing nearly all the approaches to the mountain top. The circuit-wall of the Bouchouri fortress was measured with compass by means of the ‘direct method’. A loomweight and some black-varnished sherds were photographed and left on the site."
