Modern Description: Flourished mainly during the 6th century BC. Only a few remains of the defensive wall are visible, on a low ridge ca. 400 m SW of Ritsona, W of the Thebes-Chalkida road. On the contrary, many graves (mid-8th-3rd century BC) have been excavated, with copious grave goods especially vases and figurines (exhibited in the Thebes Archaeological Museum).
