Modern Description: The Delion, or sanctuary of Delian Apollo, was located by the sea just inside Boiotian territory (W of Oropos). It is generally thought to be at modern Dilessi, based on the presumed survival of the name, though the excavated remains there are Roman and later. [A stoa foundation at the shore is said to be archaic and part of the sanctuary complex]
