Modern Description: rebuilt country chapel, 3.3 km NNW of modern Avlona, interesting because of an inscribed table discovered there dedicated to Dionysos Avloneus. A sanctuary of that god was nearby. In Hadrianic times, the priest of Avloneus Dionysos has a front-row seat in the Theater of Dionysos in Athens.
