Modern Description: Founded by Serafim, a wealthy Greek who retired to this extremely remote location after the Ottoman conquest. Five (?) monks in 2021, women not permitted entry. The monastery is wealthy and well-tended, with lands that include the site of Boulis. In an attractive fold of Mt. Domvos, on the slopes of Mt. Helikon. Reachable by a long, relatively good dirt road from Prodromos or Kyriaki.
