Modern Description: Apparently little remains of the altar and cave excavated (but never published). Access requires special permission from the Ministry of Defense. Finds date from the 10th c. BCE and after; the largest group is more than a thousand iron knives, very likely offerings from farmers for Zeus to send (or withhold) rain from their trees and vines.
