Modern Description: Just W of the modern (and ancient) road to Siphai/Aliki, a 34 x 34 meter rubble fortress with round corner towers is mostly hidden in the bushes. Traces of internal buildings and a small Christian chapel. Tomlinson and Fossey (BSA 1970) believe it to be part of Justinian's fortification program, based on North African parallels. It reuses one stretch of polygonal wall from the earlier sanctuary.
