Modern Description: The medieval monastery of Agia Triada (the Holy Trinity) preserves a cone-shaped ancient structure built of large blocks, and the foundations of the katholikon church are an ancient round structure with further ancient blocks built into the walls. N. Moutsopoulos, who studied the buildings, thinks they are the remains of an ancient Gaion or Earth sanctuary mentioned by Pausanias (7.25) though the description of the route is problematic.
