Modern Description: Important (unique?) fortified final Neolithic and Early Helladic settlement on Zagani/Sagani hilltop north of the Spata airport. When the hilltop was "lowered" from 181 m to 145 m for flight safety reasons, the settlement was carefully photographed and mapped, then dismantled. Finds from the 1980s-90s excavations, which include a classical horos (boundary) inscription cut in the rock, are on display in the archaeological collection at the airport along with a scale model of the site.
