Modern Description: Close to the shore at the N end of the village of Loutsa, a Doric temple of Artemis Tauropolos (5th century BC) has been excavated, and a little further S another smaller temple with a votive pit (bothros) full of figurines and vases. The building remains are nowadays buried in the sand.
