Modern Description: Attractive small walled monastery consecrated to the Archangels Michael and Gabriel in fold of Hymettos, el. 550 m, just N/W of the asphalt road to the summit, probably 16th c.; long deserted, but since ca. 2013 it has resumed operations and is well-tended, with three monks. Early am services, closes at 12 noon. Feast day 5 September
