Modern Description: signposted cave just above Hymettos fire road, sherds of various periods. Attached to flimsy local legend - this was the cave of the Lion of Kantza. Gene Vanderpool suggested this cave might be a shrine of Pan in Paiania possibly alluded to in Menander's Dyskolos (lines 407-9).
