Pythion (Athens) 9 Kallirhois Blvd? - Πύθιον
Πύθιον - Pythion, unlocated sanctuary between Ilissos R. and Olympieon, Athens
Unlocated, but frequently speculated upon site. A phrase captured by the lexicographer Hesychius, "ἐν Πυθίῳ χέσαι - to shit in the Pythion. Peisistratos was building the temple in the Pythion. The Athenians, who hated him, when they passed, having nothing else to do, some would urinate against the fence and take a dump near the construction site in order to harass the laborers."
