Modern Description: "Unlocated. The name Ardettos is now applied to the hill W of the marble stadium, but no ancient source mentions a hill. ""The judges were those over thirty years old, with the franchise and not owing money to the demos. They swore an oath at the court in Ardettos to Apollo Patroos and Demeter and Zeus Basileus. Ardettos is near the Ilissos, named for some hero who when the demos was in factional strife administered an oath of concord. The oath of the judges was that on issues of law they would vote according to the law, and on issues where no law existed, in accordance with the most just opinion."" Pollux Onomasticon 8.122
