""The judges were those over thirty years old, with the franchise and not owing money to the demos. They swore an oath at the court in Ardettos to Apollo Patroos and Demeter and Zeus Basileus. Ardettos is near the Ilissos, named for some hero who when the demos was in factional strife administered an oath of concord.
