Modern Description: Buried under the pavement of Iraklidon 1 (at Nileos St.) in Thision, remains of a small W-facing temple (aligned toward Delos?) were discovered in 1958, with altar foundations in front. Inscriptions identify it as a sanctuary of Artemis. After excavation, construction was allowed to proceed. This is almost certainly the temple to Artemis Aristoboule created by Themistocles.
