Modern Description: Kimoneia Mnimata or Kimon's Tomb: identity ascribed to a rectangular structure with a double tomb on the south, carved into bedrock, located NW of the Hill of Muses near ancient Koile. The monument has been associated with Thucydides, whose grave or cenotaph was there, and to Kimon (father of Miltiades) or Kimon's son; however, a 3rd century AD inscription, over the entrance identifies a certain Zosimianos as the owner of the tomb.
[Judith Binder: Rock-Cut Grave: formerly called Kimonʼs tomb, Mouseion Hill northwest slope, southwest of the church of Hag. Dimitrios Loumbardiaris: Curtius, E. and J. A.
