Modern Description: Ascending a steep dirt track just below the Petroupoli cemetery, by bearing left one reaches the summit of Mt. Zacharitsa (452 m), the highest point in the Aigaleo/Poikilon range. The modern geodesic marker sits atop the drum of a Classical beacon platform. Rubble and rooftiles suggest the presence of a small adjoining building. Little to see but rusting radio antennas, but the panoramic view is worth the climb.
