Modern Description: Prison of Sokrates: an impressive structure carved into the slopes of the hill of Muses.The function of the building is unknown and it has been interpreted as the 'prison of Sokrates'or as ancient baths.During the WWII, it was used for the hiding of the statues from the Acropolis and the National Archaeological museum.
