Modern Description: Per Hans Goette (in Athens, Attica, and the Megarid), the western hill before the modern port of Pachi was once the key strategic island of Minoa, linked to the Megarian port of Nisaia by a bridge. The ancient port has silted up, and a medieval castle (with World War II intrusions) sits atop the classical fortification on the island.
