Modern Description: inscrutable trenches and pits in the scrappy bedrock (west side of Leof. Vouliagmenis), said to be from a Mycenaean flax-working establishment or the like, uncovered during excavation work for the metro station. Classical dye-works were found at the metro E entrance. A torrent bed was found further to the south, along with indication of the Astike Hodos linking Athens to Lavrion.
