Modern Description: A stretch of the Classical city wall protecting Piraeus, where Kodrou St. intersects the larger 34ou Syntagmatos Pezikou St (named for the 34th infantry regiment, from Piraeus). The foundations of the monumental City Gate (Αστικαί Πύλαι) with flanking towers are visible from the locked fence. In 2016 an exhibit space opened, free entry, to display informational materials and materials conservation work from the archaeological excavations associated with the extension of the Athens Metro to Piraeus.
