Modern Description: A promontory of Attica mentioned only by Strabo. It should be the one jutting out into the bay of Eleusis, at the site of the metochi at Skaramanga. The area is a military zone, inaccessible without a permit. Foundations of an ancient tower are shown there on the Kaupert maps, which, however, show the promontory as further south (and also with ancient tower foundations).
