Modern Description: Excavated 1997-98 by Dekoulakou, on site of a substantial ashlar retaining wall that had been known since the early 19th century and taken as the basis for locating the early polis of Salamis there. It seems instead to be a Classical through Hellenistic estate, with cistern, stairway, etc.
