Modern Description: A very faint path leads from the main Andros road S to the boxy little church of Ag. Georgios at the NW end of Stavropeda. Pick your way carefully down the slope SSW from the church to find in ca. 50 m two walls of a 6 x 6 m. square tower of large, squared stones and drafted edges, incorporated in a later terrace wall. Just N of the tower on the terrace are a few blocks of an ancient structure.
