Modern Description: Ag. Demetrios St. turns N off the Anavyssos road. Opposite the simple church (wall-paintings of 1745, locked) with an ancient block in the courtyard, a limestone outcrop is visible. Extensively quarried, the hill has a rock-cut staircase, rough, large-stone walls, and a central square platform on the summit, probably a Classical to Roman cult site. A small cistern, some sherd scatter. Just south are traces of thick walls and a few worked blocks, plus an early modern well with ancient blocks incorporated, and extensive tile/pottery scatter. Very possibly the deme center of Thorai or Aigiliai.
