Modern Description: NW of the sanctuary of Nemea. The Asklepieion is located on the site of the church of the Virgin, on the W slope of the acropolis hill. Close by is the agora, with remains of a rectangular peristyle edifice (5th century BC and 2nd century AD) and a ruined theatre.
