Modern Description: Unsignposted, difficult of access. The ridge of Kourouna commands the road from Sterna to Gymno, with fine views. There is no obvious trail to the summit, and scrambling through bushes is required. The tower (three courses, irregular large ashlars, was almost invisible behind scrub oak (20220318). Pottery crumbs on the surface, and evidence of medieval ? habitation in the plain N of it.
